Svapoday-la protesta is the working group that organized a peaceful and authorized protest for electronic cigarettes in Milan, Italy. This peaceful ecig protest will be held for two days: 12-6 PM on January 26 and 12-1 PM January 27 outside State Monopoly headquarters in Piazza San Babilia.
There will be no flags during the event. The working group engages in projects and is socially legitimized according to policies. This event's goal is to fight for the electronic cigarette group. It aims to protect ecigs and ecig users from unjust, unenforceable and unreasonable regulations.
It also hopes to protect the electronic cigarettes in a unified and compact way. Every dealer, distributor, manufacturer and vaper is invited to come and join others in this peaceful demonstration that will oppose a new Italian tax that will kill the ecig industry.
What The Event Opposes
The event will be held to show opposition to a law that is unenforceable and instrumentally ridiculous. Through this protest, everyone could show his/her antagonism toward arrogance of tobacco lobbyists and tobacco lobbying interests.
This Svapoday-la protesta event is also against the death sentence placed upon the ecigarette sector. It opposes that pretention of some, especially by the officials in not understanding that vapers represent the future of smokers. Most of all, this is an event that aims to resist instrumental misinformation about the devices.
What The Event Favors
Through this Svapoday affair, every participant can show advocacy for the health of various Italian vapers. It promotes the freedom of Italians to choose and for the right of every person to do business and to work.
The protesters claim that they have the constitutional right to have and to choose healthy smoking alternatives. They also have the right to choose such alternatives without the need to pay onerous taxes.
Ecigarettes are lifestyle choices that allow people to live and feel better. It should not be opposed nor heavily taxed, but should be promoted and supported.
The organizers are accepting donations from people who would like to offer financial support instead of or aside from physically joining in the demonstration. Donations are accepted through PayPal. Simply indicate SVAPO Day as the last name or the company name along with the city when you send your kind contributions.
Other Campaigns and Demonstrations For Ecigs
This peaceful demonstration is actually not the first nor the only one held or organized for the sake of electronic cigarettes and their users.
One of the most recent campaigns in the European region is the Save E-cigs Campaign. It involves a letter to which one can add his/her name. This campaign asked the support not just of vapers, but also the friends, family member and relatives of these concerned individuals. The campaign letter was sent to the MPs last November.
Also in Europe, vapers from all over the region have gathered in Brussels for their black balloon demonstration. Held last July 2013, the event involved bursting of black balloons that signified the premature deaths of smokers who have not been given the opportunity to switch to ecigarettes.
Very recently in the US, particularly in Oklahoma, a small group of people gathered in front of the state capitol to object the decision of Governor Fallin in banning ecigarette use on the state property.
The Governor, like other people with misinformation about the devices, said that ecig vapor contain chemicals that can harm the state employees and visitors.
The protesters disputed the Governor's claim that ecigarette us is harmful. These protesters testified that it was through these devices that they were able to successfully quit smoking. Protesters like them are fighting for their rights to choose the way they wish to live their lives and not be dictated by public officials who seemingly abuse their powers.
