Ecig flavors are intensely opposed and attacked by the detractors of the electronic cigarette products.According to these groups, these flavors are not really aimed for adult smokers and consumers, but for youths and children. Thus, they demand that regulators and legislators deem these flavors not to be used on electronic cigarettes.
Considering, however, the aim of ecigs as alternatives to traditional cigarettes, these flavors should not be casually dismissed just because of purported allegations. A study on ecigs was published on International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. It was performed by the renowned Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos and his team of expert researchers. They looked at the impact of variable ecigarette flavors on the vaping experience of dedicated vapers via an internet-based survey.
There were 4618 participants and over 90% of them were former smokers and the remaining were dual users. Three flavors were, on average, regularly used by the participants. Former smokers switch more often than dual users.
